Overlanding Tour 14th – 18th Sept 2026 is not that far away, so here is the plan…
We meet at Lac du Mont-Cenis, a breathtaking Alpine lake shimmering under the mountain sun. While we wait for the group to gather, you can stretch your legs, soak in the views, or even take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. It’s the perfect start to an unforgettable journey. And to use all the Overlanding Equipment.

Then, engines roar to life. We drop down into the Sauze Valley, where the adventure truly begins. Our first big challenge? Nothing less than the highest gravel road in Europe  27 kilometres of pure off-road glory. We climb from 1,300 metres in Bardonecchia to an incredible 3,009 metres at the Sommeiller Col. That’s twice the height of Ben Nevis! At the top, you’ll be close enough to touch a glacier, surrounded by towering peaks and views that will make your jaw drop.

From there, we push south, winding through alpine meadows, hidden gravel tracks, and high-altitude routes that snake around ski resorts. You’ll park your 4×4 beside ski lifts that normally only see snow and skiers.

This makes it the perfect spot for those once-in-a-lifetime photos. Along the way, we’ll uncover Napoleonic forts perched on the French–Italian border, silent guardians of history with views that stretch for miles.
